What is it?
The main function of a regulator or controller is to charge batteries by regulating the charge current to th battery without allowing it ti be overcharged. It also prevents current from being drawn back out of the battery at night.

Outback MX60 and FLEXmax 80
Outback's real time active Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system ensures that your solar aray is operating at it's peak power point regardless of age, shading or environmental conditions, thus increasing its performance by up to 30%. The MX60 and Flexmax 80's wide DC input range and 60/80A DC output current rating for 12,24 or 48 VDC systems provides unmatched flexibility in the wiring as well as the sizing in your solar array. The ability to step down a high voltage solar array to a low voltage battery can save you money by reducing the size of the wire required and making the installation simpler and faster.
